Another Move

Well I’ll be moving to another new place yet again. Still around my area but I just hate moving. I had no choice, the owner wants the house back.

I think this is my fifth or sixth time moving.

All these years moving, from school hostels to rental apartments, I’ve never felt a sense of belonging. I hated that feeling. No ‘roots’ of sorts ya know.

I’m always ready to move anytime with my few sparse minimal belongings. I’ve come to realize being in such a situation, it made me realize of the things I take for granted previously.

Also I’ve sort of adapted and perfected the Zen of minimalist living, akin to the Japanese and that part however I’m liking it. So if I were to receive an offer overseas for a job, I would leave with no or little ‘baggage’ so to say. Not that I’ve anything keeping me back in Singapore anyway.

There’s a saying that “the pasture is greener on the other side” may not always be true, but well looking from my point of view, going somewhere else other than ‘rigid’ Singapore, it ain’t such a bad idea.

If I were to do stay in Singapore, my eligibility to buy and own a house is only possible in 5 years time when I’m 35 years old. Unless of course I get married, that’s a whole another way of getting your house under couples scheme … Any interested ladies? :p

Mmmm still a long way to go for either getting hitched or hitting the 35 age marker, but for now I’ll keep my options open.

From my experience, well you readers should be grateful you’ve a permanent roof over your head.

For me, I’ve to content with my Bujang Lapok status and I should start finding some boxes to pack my stuff.
