Bujang Belapok

One of the few remaining single friends of my era (70s mind you! we rock!) finally decided to get hitched last weekend.

There I was at the majilis (wedding function), seeing her so happy and blissful.

I was genuinely ecstatic for her; though I did try to repress a tinge of jealousy.

For a moment there, i began to ponder at my own plight. My plight, being still single that is.

No, no I’m not looking to get attached for the sake of just being attached or getting married matter of fact. No thank you …

Though the notion of having a bride pooft magically appearing before me, and skipping the wooing dating phase does sounds enticing, but then again, DREAM ON uncle sha! I’m just looking for a gurl with no baggage.

Let me explain. Lately I’ve been deemed the substitute with SEVERAL of my dates. I was told one thing by them, and it was another matter, in their point of view. In the end after all that dating, they got back to their previous partner.

Either they found out that I’m such the worst date in the world and they decided to go back to their boyfriends or they just have unresolved issues with the ex, with which I’m the catalyst of their solution.

I don’t get it with some of these guys. Some hit their women, some guys ignored and left their women for the dumps. But once they heard their women is dating someone new, these guys have a change of heart and realized how foolish they were to abandon them.

Well anyway whatever the outcome, I’m just glad somehow or rather in this cosmic karmic odd sense, i managed to help to patch-up my dates with their ex. And at my expense of course.

Still I’m happy for them. But not to fret, I’m still hoping and I’m sure my boo is still out there somewhere! I hope …. haha

So moral of the story: So gurls, if you wish to have your ex-boyfriend back, date me! I think ill go and see more of brokeback mountain. Its kinda growing on me
