FYI I’ve the cleanest rice cooker in Singapore, thank you.
Earlier I was chatting by random with an old intern friend via GMail.
She calls me “too domesticated” … I mean like what! Hahaha.
And I also quote her saying that “no guy (me!) spends their Sunday waxing a rice pot”.
Sure while I was chatting with her, I was scrubbing clean my rice cooker.
I was also doing the laundry, cleaning my room and its shaving day for me.
Nothing wrong with the above right. Surely most guys these days are not that lazy of a bum right, depending on their mommies, wife or their girlfriends to be at their housekeeping beckon call.
Recalling what she said, well I guess there’s some truth to it. In fact I do prefer to spend my Sundays at home lounging and doing housekeeping if there’s no morning soccer of course.
Well anyway it’s a short chat, it’s been awhile we chatted, since parting ways few years back during internship days and it’s good to catch-up.
She’s the type of ‘friend with potential’ you know. A leg up from ‘friend with benefits’. Someone I can see myself forming some kind of personal attachment to.
I felt we both had a ‘thing’ and chemistry going during the internship but never did explore it as we both had our own relationship then. I recalled always going to her cubicle and looking forward to our chats and lunch, good ol’ days.
Well now I’m single and she with a new guy. Oh I just hope she doesn’t know the existence of my blog.
I just hate being having that “out there’ feeling you know, of dating and still looking.
I think that’s why the institution of marriage was formed, to spare us from the endless vicious cycle of bad dates and awkward embarrassing moments.
