You know what I did for my Valentine?
I watched the movie “Miss Congeniality”
And after that …
Miss Congeniality Part 2!! Hahaha
No it’s not as pathetic as it may sound, no don’t feel sorry for me either. The only person who can feel sorry for me is MYSELF, and I’m fine spending my Valentine alone.
In fact I even declined a blind-date my peeps was setting up for me on Valentine. It’s not that I don’t look forward to meeting people, girls especially, but I have this policy that future dates of mine should be of my own initiative.
There’s just too much pressure on all parties for such type of dating, and from past experience, most of the time it doesn’t work out lah. Plus it’s Valentine Day, there’s too much emphasis on the day, and the simple date would be oh-so-complicated.
Anyway it’s Sunday, and Chinese New Year, most places are closed and I truly badly needed to rest. I was exhausted man. It’s my only rest day as I slogged hard for the past week doing my stuff.
In fact I dozed off halfway watching Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality Part 2, but resumed with the movie after waking up, just in time for dinner.
Of course I don’t want to be alone for the rest of my life lah. There has been studies done that highlights that single men ‘die younger’!
Single men aged 45 and over are at a 23% greater risk of early death, while men who get divorced are at a 30% greater risk.
So there are benefits of being married.
With that Uncle Sha’s resolve for now if by 45 years-old and I’m still single, I’ll hook-up with ANYONE that accepts my proposal, young, old or ladyboy, gay, just anyone, haha …
