Few days ago I went to dear’s place to fix her PC as popups and errors appeared with her PC.
I’ve never really been hit with any of the popups, so my plan was to find this little spyware that causing all the problem and delete it entirely form the registry & harddisk
To my horror the little spyware kept me at ends for 7 hours plus.
Every time I deleted its registry it kept replicating itself.
When I though I had a loop tied, the spyware reappeared again with popups and within the PC processes
I practically tried every anti-spyware out there on the market and manually trying to fix the PC.
It was a spyware called “Elite Toolbar” which attaches itself to the Internet Explorer.
Since its known you cant uninstall IE as its part of XP, I have to either save the PC or format it
Well, I wasn’t about to give up, I searched the Internet for help.
I followed the fixes about what files to delete, renamed or moved.
But finally i succumb to defeat and deemed it a loss cause when it was around 10plus pm.
The spyware was still replicating itself.
I was too tired and resorted to using XPs restoration program
It was my last resort, I had no choice … fwah nabei spyware.
So ppl pls be careful what you click or say “YES” on any confirmation boxes.
And yes porn sites has loads of this .. So beware
Anyways I also met dears parents. It wasn’t my first time meeting them.
Both occasion it was under the pretext of fixing dears PC.
We got along kinda OK, we had small talk and I’m hoping well get along well when I’m there again.
