My Best Friend’s Wedding (1997)
Synopsis
After Michael tells his best friend, Julianne that he is getting married in four days, she goes straight to Chicago to help him get through. But she has every intention to stop the wedding and steal the groom from Kimberly. Over the next three days, she tries everything to split them up. Finally, on the day of the wedding, Jules tells Mike she loves him and kisses him, but to her disadvantage, Kimmy is watching them. Now Michael has to decide whom he loves most.
What Uncle Sha learned
Comparatively a recent chick-flick that I saw, “Made of Honor” carry the same tune in terms of the story with today’s movie that I saw earlier, “My Best Friend’s Wedding”.
Personally the latter is a much better film in terms of the script, chemistry, the gags, and most importantly the ending.
There’s no fairy-tale happy ending for Julianne, played by Julia Roberts, instead she lost the man of her dreams to the other woman.
It goes to show one should own up and profess your love before it’s too late.
Plus as corny as it may sound, you’ve to let go of that person you truly love if you want them to be happy.
One has come to accept that your moment or chance has passed, and it’s time to move on.
Of course that sounds too darn bad and sad right, but hey that’s life buddy!

There were a few classic moments in the movie in fact that has gone into my personal movie Hall of Fame scenes.
The part where everyone in the restaurant was singing Dionne Warwick’s “I say a little prayer”, well despite looking like a moron all alone in my room, I was swaying and singing together with everyone in the movie.
Everyone should know this song by hard man, it’s a sacrilege if you don’t!
Also the scene where Dermot Mulroney sucked the stucked ring from Julia Roberts’s finger, well that’s hot.
Every woman has varying and different erogenous spots, and I find it’s a hit-and-miss thing if you’re a guy trying to get your woman aroused.
The ladies don’t always tell you all these thing, so I’ve learned it’s best to always experiment, and explore.
I’m always game for a little play-time before a romp, haha.
Overall a charming film, a great company for couples snuggling on movie night.
