Jenna Rink has two wishes – to become one of the school cool girls, and to be thirty – rather than be coming up to thirteen and hanging around with uncool Matt. After her disastrous birthday party an accidental sprinkling of magic dust makes both wishes come true and she finds herself at thirty as a highly successful New York fashion editor. Luckily she locates Matt for help on how her new world works, but as she finds out how she has behaved since that birthday party she increasingly discovers someone she thoroughly dislikes.
What Uncle Sha learned
After yesterday viewing debacle, I would think any other film out there is better than Hannah Montana movie!
Jennifer Garner’s “13 going on 30″ put things back into perspective, as after a hard day’s work, this feel-good flick really made my night earlier.
I would feel this is not just a movie for the ladies, but guys like us would love it too.
It has it redeeming features despite it’s predictable outcome.
For one the star of the show herself Jennifer Garner.
I always liken her for a lohan fish, considering both have high foreheads!
I’m not being mean, but that’s how I sees it.
Still she’s a beautiful ang-moh (Caucasian) chick with a really nice ass. You can tell she works out.
The story present a debatable talking-point, would you do anything differently if given the opportunity to re-live your life.
Or decide on a different path in life and choices knowing the future outcome.
I’m still on the fence on the above, undecided … oh well.
I really liked how the movie ends however, as it has open-ended “ending”.
Audience won’t really know if Jenna did became editor of Poise magazine, and leading the attractive, ambitious professional woman she was in her immediate past life, but at least she now got what she hoped for as she changed her future.
I would like to think, even despite Jenna not knowing her future will be like, she would make all the ‘right’ decision.
I guess we all can take heed of Jenna’s mum word of advise, which is to own and wise-up to our past mistakes with our present decisions.
