Last Saturday I had to dress up, well the purpose is the scholarship/bursary ceremony I had to attend. I hate to wear long sleeve, pants and those itchy smart shoes … urrgh. Give me a running attire any day.
Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister of State for Education & Manpower was there for giving out the scholarship/bursary.
Didn’t expect him to be so tall. It actually came out in the tv Channel 5 news the other day .. if you’re fast enough .. you can see one dark, funny looking guy in smart shirt eating nasi goreng .. haha, didn’t know Dr Ng was talking to the news media behind me that day
Well on Sunday, it was Nike/Spans Real Run. I didn’t do well, but I enjoyed the race. Well anyway I wasn’t surprised I was trailing the pack coz i wasn’t doing my mileage.
I have switched to track and have abandoned my long distance training but still I did considerably well lah. I got in between 20-30th plus position.
Couldn’t get the exact result as the organisers website is shite. No result posted.
The race was won by some ang moh and runners-up was this Kenyan. That day i paced this really good local runner from MR25, I stuck to him till the 3/4 point where he pulled away at the beach stretch.
He got into the top 10 position i believed. But it was a fun day and I took home with me a couple of blisters on my leg as souvenirs. The beach part was a real torture and I look forward to this event next year again.
And oh yah, I was pleasantly surprised to find my brada and me in the new Nike Catalog ad. You can find us in Spring Collection .. go go, get the catalog … haha. We looked funny
