It's one RedBull a day for me when I workout
You know you’re truly a jock when your walls is stacked to the wall with RedBull.
Holy Crapper!
Hahaha, yes this Uncle Sha has been supplementing himself with the caffeine found in the RedBull for his workouts.
Despite it’s caffeine negative side effects, it has not bothered my sleeping habits, I’m still sane yes.
The logic behind the usage of caffeine from sports drinks whatever the brand, is that it stimulates adrenaline release which raises fatty acid levels in blood stream, which in turns conserves valuable glycogen.
Glycogen are stored carbohydrate in muscle, or important body fuel to say, which is associated with increased work output and duration that’s depleted during training.
Benefits
Caffeine also has been found to improve muscle contraction which releases calcium from muscle cell from storage.
Personally I’ve experienced the benefit of improved endurance, but also increase alertness and concentration for short-term, high-intense activities.
Basically caffeine affect your central nervous system, so I don’t recommend the consumption for kids, and pregnant women, or sissies.
Usage
I would usually drink my RedBull an hour before my workout. Just remember you need about 1.5 mg of caffeine per kg of your body weight in doses throughout workout.
Do take note, please consume less than 300mg of caffeine daily, or it will have adverse effect on your body.
And for those going for races, try to lay off caffeine a few days before the competition. And just before competition starts, take 150-200 mg of caffeine for greater response. Trust me you’ll FLY!
Good Luck!
Caffeine give you Wings!
Disclaimer: Don’t blame me for anything yes after reading this. You’re on your own if you wish to emulate my caffeine drinking habits.
