Flatulence

Yesterday was my indulgence day and it’s been awhile since I’ve had any prata. So I tried cheese and mushroom prata.

I don’t know if it’s my body reacting adversely with the prata, but as I sat there trying to finish the last pieces of prata, I just couldn’t.

My stomach hurt so badly.

All of a sudden a sudden build-up of flatulence began and as I warned an old buddy sitting across the table, I farted like never before. Silent killers but no smell lah. Just gas it seems … haha.

Nighttime came, and since it’s still my indulgence day, I again tried another junk food. I bought a Ramly burger.

There’s a ‘pasar malam’ at my place, so I bought the $3 burger. Firstly the burger sucked; if you’re planning to buy one, don’t get it from the stall that’s located near the Admiralty MRT Bridge. Try the other stall, near the traffic light.

Secondly after eating the burger, that night I didn’t feel so good. I wasn’t sick, nor was I having a diarrhea, but I just felt ‘weak’. As if I’m experience an outer body experience, weird man.

So there you go, if its any consolation, junk food is bad for me. I think I’m used to eating my usual daily ‘makan’ routine where I eat 5-6 small healthy meals throughout the day.

I may sound unusual with such ‘regime’ and people might think I’m anal, but this is what a human body truly needs, not such ‘junk’ processed food giants are tying to psycho us.

Nothing wrong eating such junk of course, it’s your life, I myself do indulge once in awhile but I prefer serving my own food, fully knowing what goes into my body.

Of course I didn’t start such ‘regimental’ consumption of food all of a sudden, but slowly and surely I changed and tweaked my eating habits throughout the years.

I still love ‘sambal goreng’, but it’s been years since I had it. Suddenly the thought of ‘ikan masak kicap’ popped into my mind. Hmm sounds tasty. Maybe my next indulgence day I might have that.

On average, our waistlines are getting bigger every single year but the medical coverage is not in proportion with the number of soaring obesity cases.

I reckon our entire generation in danger of an old age fraught with diseases such as diabetes, cancer and heart problems.

Something we can all look forward to eh.
