
I’m not on a diet, but it’s still good to take note what you’re stuffing yourself with right.
Essentially it’s hard to resist the good food in Singapore.
For me I’ll at times will have problems saying no to the Capati, Longtong or Char Kueh Tiao. But I think it’s ok to succumb, to treat yourself. Always climb back on the treadmill after that
I guess it’s in our upbringing. We’re brought up in our own families, deep rooted in meals passed down from generations, that’s basically unhealthy. Yes it may suffice for our ancestors but we know better.
Now we have the knowledge and knowledge is power
I’m not asking you to abandon your food and culture but maybe add some balance to it. I still binge on local food but in moderation
We all know our local food are fatty and high in MSG. Maybe add an exercise routine, eat more fiber and such effort to enhance your quality of life.

Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables
Carbohydrates should only amount to 10% of your daily calorie intake
Sweets will only make you crave more sweets
Avoid foods with white flour and/or sugar
Eat whole grain breads that allow for easier digestion, and give you a full feeling faster.
Beware of hidden sugars in carbohydrates
Take fiber supplements, as well as vitamin and mineral supplements
Fiber will aid in digestion while making you feel full
Cut down on caffeine as it’s a strong stimulant that increases the hunger pangs in some people
Drinking one full 8oz glass of water before every meal, will make you feel fuller and eat less foods
