I just love the moment I’ve just stocked up my foodpile. The cans will be neatly aligned in rows, tupperware all filled up, the vibrant colors of the fruits and such. It’s like my life is at a complete stop there and then, with nothing to worry … sounds loony? Not for a neat freak like me!
Well a matter in fact I really do feel likewise lah. It just shows I’m a pretty simple person to please eh. Buy me a 60 cents mackerel can and I’m a happy Doraemon. Well anyway there’s a photo accompanied below how my foodpile looks like.

I would think by now I can refer grocery stores as my second home, as its the second most frequent place I hang-out. Preparing food on a daily basis has become part of my lifestyle, I don’t even think about it, I just do it instinctively. You might be surprised that my monthly makan budget is just under $55, not including the outings/jalan-jalan I have.
Aside from the cheapness, its quite healthy too. I eat lots of lots of grain and fiber, being that my dad has a history of bowel issues, and I’m truly hoping its not hereditary. It’s pretty scary knowing a doctor is sticking something up your anus. Well I was told that by my dad when he checked into the hospital. Like eeyyywww, no way man!
If you want to start preparing your meals, my advice is start small. Example focus perhaps on one specific meal first such as breakfast or lunch. Find healthy alternatives be it by buying from stalls, or if you’re able to prepare it yourself, that’s even better. Then from there start spreading the meals apart throughout the day in smaller parts.
I usually eat small meals every two hours. No coffee, no tea and no greasy stuff for me, its all clean food totally. I of course do indulge lah. Next week I’m planning to eat Tim Tams again. I got a craving for it!

can advise me on how to eat healthily? i’m having doubts on what to eat. usually money is the issue because i can’t seem to afford such foods and i also dun knw what food to eat. I’m not into bodybuilding but i would love to have a decent tone for my body. i climb once or twice a week, i do pull ups a lot. i’m currently 58kg and i hop u could give me some tips.

I don’t know your height, can’t calculate your BMI, but your weight of 58kg indicates you’re underweight.
To get toned, you need muscles, which comes from balanced diet + exercise.
Look up my sample diet aite, as for exercise, I recommend 2x gym, 2x cardio/sports

I eat wholemeal as it is.
Sardines sometimes yes I include in my meal.
My pasta has proteins such as eggs and meat. It’s good to alternate meat with fish.

i always find it hard to keep myself motivated as i always run/train alone. So sometime i tend to skip my regime. When i drag my friends, they usually tag me 1 or 2 times then they stop. That really somehow affects my morale. Pls advise me..i nyd to get back on track. haha
You’ve to find a point of reference to motivate yourself, e.g. you need to find someone you know who is in a good shape and associate yourself with him/her.
You’re only your best with the people you surround yourself with, I’m not saying you should dump your current friends, but if you want to be fit, find fit minded friends.
The kind of friends you mentioned is lepak friends, I have those too, but i don’t go out workout with them.
Or if you’re really berdekan, you can doing it ALL on your own. For me to get motivated, I refrained eating junk food as I associate it with displeasure … while I associate working out with great feelings. It’s all in the mind, you’ve to harness it.
