Whats whey protein and why do we need it?
In layman terms, protein is most essential supplement for athletes, especially those involved in long-term, high intensity endurance training. But it doesnt just cater to athletes, those not getting enough protein is recommended to supplement their normal diet with whey protein so as growth and development

It supports the muscle maintenance, buildup and toning among individuals who are merely “weekend warriors.” Furthermore, it provides wholesome support for compromised or wasting muscle due to advancing years. Whats in it
I like that there’s some Essential and Non-Essential AAs (amino acids) in this supplement plus its ultrafiltered with added microfiltered whey isolate. Meaning the microfiltration process not only filters the whey so that the sodium levels are reduced, but the lactose levels are also reduced. This allows those with a lactose intolerance to digest it without any trouble. This type of isolate has a significantly higher protein per serving ratio than whey concentrates. This type of isolate typically yields over 94 grams of protein per 100 grams of whey, and often comes close to 98 or 99 grams of protein per 100 grams of whey
Laboratory analyses show that microfiltered/ultrafiltered (MF/UF) whey contains 7 times the potassium and 5 times the calcium of commonly available ion exchange wheys. MF/UF whey also contains lactoferrin, a powerful antibacterial protein as well as immune-modulating glycomacropeptides
How does sha takes it
I would usually take it in the morning right after I woke up or taken immediately after intense exercise. For the morning session, its 2 servings of protein mixed with a low fat milk. As for the later session, its important to take it immediately your workout so as to ensure maintenance of positive nitrogen balance to allows the body to repair and build muscle and minimize muscle breakdown. I would have 2 servings of protein with cold water. I do not recommend mixing it with milk after a workout!
Poundage
So far I’ve gain 1.5kg ever since I’m on Prostar for the past month or so. This may vary person to person.
Solubility
Below is a shot of the whey shaken with mesh. There’s still clumps and it mixes well with the milk (Daisy low fat). It doesn’t mix well as many other whey such as Optimum or Dymatize but it is a cheap whey in comparison. So you have to weigh the pro and cons before deciding which whey is best to suit your lifestyle Below is a shot of whey shaken without the mesh. The clumps are far more obvious and I do recommend a mesh when mixing the whey with beverages
Taste
Its not a bad tasting whey in a variety of flavours. I’ve only tasted Strawberry & Chocolate flavours and I prefer the latter as the Strawberry has a slight awful taste to it in my opinion. But then again taste is pretty subjective for every person. In overall the taste is not awful nor great for Prostar Whey, thats all I can say
