I went jogging a few days ago and usually halfway through the session I would stop at one of those exercise corner to do some body conditioning.

Well I did stopped at one, and the fitness corner I chose was facing a HDB flat just 15 meters away.

As I was doing my pullups-pushup routine, suddenly someone was blasting a song. It was quite audible and really loud. Louder than a karaoke session.

I looked around looking for the source of the music and I saw this Pakcik (old uncle) standing at his balcony, calmly smoking his Gudang Garam (Malaysian cigarette favored by plenty of old Malay uncle) probably, with a slight smile on his face.

Indeed the loud noise was coming from that Pakcik-kopitiam apartment unit.

And you know what, I didn’t at all mind with what is being blasted there and then … Why?

Well because me and the Pakcik have something in common that we truly love and obsessed, that is associated with the song being played.
