Circa 1994 if you’re unsure of the year.
The very last year before we left Malaysia Cup and created our own S-League.
I recall with vivid memories of the former players such as super-sub Steven Tan, short-lived career of Lee Man Hon, skinny Alistair Edwards. Abbas ‘Terbabas’ Saad, gelek-king V. Sundramoorthy, to the rock and heart of the defence hall of fame Jang Jung, T.Pathmanathan and Borhan Abu Samah.
I miss the Malaysia vs Singapore rivalry, its a health competition IMO. Since FAS departure in 1994, I’ve not seen any such similar rivalries ever replicated.
Aaah good ol’ memories.
