It’s judgment day today as it’s the UEFA Champion’s League Final between Manchester United and Barcelona
Date: 27th May
Time: 8.45pm local (2.45am SG time)
Location: Stadio Olimpico (Rome, Italy)
I’m of course rooting for Man United, but as we all know the soccer ball is round.
The results can go either way.
It’s really hard to predict the outcome when you’re playing in the finals.
Some teams just go against their usual normal play and just threw caution to the wind on such big occasions.
The gamble I’ve seen over the years saw underdogs such as Nottingham Forest, Red Star Belgrade and Steaua Bucure?ti crowned European Champions previously.
The Red Devil goes into the game as the favorite and as a diehard fan since a kid, of course I want them to win. I really do as the team has really matured over the years. The way they played this year, I’d say they deserve the title.
Rio Ferdinand – Nice hair
The Man United line-up currently has Rio Ferdinand looks likely to play. He looks recovered from his calf injury. Steady lah Mat!
Patrice Evra
I don’t envy Patrice Evra as he have the task of keeping Barca’s midfield maestro Lionel Messi in-check. That would be difficult of course, being the young Catalan is one little nippy fast elusive player.
Cristiano Ronaldo
As much as we Red Devils fans love our Ronaldo, we know his loyalty is questionable. I do hope he won’t put up another hissy-fit on the field. The last time Barca and Manu met, Messi run riot, while Ronaldo was having PMS that day.
Well it’s a date with the ahpeks down at my kopitiam later-on this morning. I shall sleep slightly early around 10pm and wake up around 2.15am to ‘chop’ good seat early.
If Manu happen to lose (choi choi choi touchwood touchwood touchwood), understandably please ignore the masam-ness (pouting) of my face when you meet me.
