It was quite an even match, and there were end-to-end stuff, but it was the Mexicans who were the more nervous lot as they had more to lose if they forfeit this match.
Well they did, but they can count their lucky stars as the Mexican side goes through the second round, at the expense of the South African team, as they had a better goal difference, despite both having the same four points in Group A.
Will it be the year for the Uruguayans? The two time World Cup champion in the old soccer hey-days, they do have the quality and firepower of Luis Suárez and Diego Forlán, but I believe they’re not World Cup winner material however.
