Rest in peace George Best

Today, one of soccer’s legendary player has lost his battle with liver cancer. George Best was 59 years old.

Despite his alcoholism antics and the treatment of women as objects of desire only, he was arguably the greatest soccer player of all time during his prime.

Between 1963 to 1974 he played for the greatest soccer club befittingly for his enormous talent. He was a winger to watch and he was just sublime.

Appearing for 466 games and scoring 178 goals, he helped Man Utd win the Football League Championship in 1965 and 1967, and the European Cup in 1968.

He was named European Footballer of the Year and Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year in 1968.

Pele describe him as the greatest player in the world, and so he shall be remembered
