The Waka Waka song is both exciting and annoying to me.
Its debut marks the start of the World Cup period, the jingle is infectious, but if I were to hear another ringtone of it in public, I swear I’ll smash your smartphone.
Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) Official 2010 World Cup Song

The song of course as with the World Cup Ball is not without controversy. South Africans wanted a local artiste to front the official song for the World Cup, rather than Shakira.
I beg to differ of course.
The song no matter the nationality of the singer is, what’s important is the underlying message within the song. The Waka Waka song represents connecting every country, race, religion and condition around a single passion, SOCCER!
The song also is very much viral I might add, and world domination it has succeed in infecting soccer fans to its tunes.
