Wow i felt great today. My flu ain’t there anymore and I felt like a new man!
Sunday morning i put my body through a test by signing up for the NAPFA test at my neighboring Woodlands stadium.
I’ve not done much cardio in a week due to my flu & i need to know where my fitness stands. Has it dipped?
Well thank Allah as I’ve not slipped to slobby obscurity. I happily managed to get a gold. I was particularly conserved during the test today.
Here’s the details of my NAPFA.
- Situp 60x,
- Sit & Reach 47cm,
- Broad Jump 255cm,
- Shuttle Run 10.0s,
- Pullup 15x and
- 2.4km 8.31min.
Just a week ago my 2.4km was 8.02min, hehe what a drastic drop in fitness in a week eh not doing anything
Later in the evening I trained with Ngiap & Raffy. We went for a little adventure & backpacking at Bukit Gombak Trails before settling at a slope near to the trails to do hill training.
It was tiring but not to the point of exhaustion. I conserved my energy again as I don’t want my immune system to get weak & start the vicious flu cycle again
This has been a topsy turvy year for me with varying result which produced equally good & bad results.
Yes … i felt that I’m less aggressive than last year in training. So I guess I need to buck up. Since I’ve lost that bit of my fiery edge, I’m trying to emulate the things I did last year to produce the same form I displayed last year to forward it this year
First on the agenda is to make a list of goals. Ill need write it down on paper & put it anywhere near me .. ill tag it along everywhere i go.
I dun know why I’ve not done this as i had done so the past 3 years. I want my mind to transforms the goal into reality. Putting it in writing breathes life into it … making it a force which cannot be easily stopped.
3 years ago i started this goal technique for example writing down lets say “Gain 70kg” .. i accomplished that … the latest one last year was “Run 55sec” .. i surprised myself by running 52sec.
As for the current 2003 goal I’ve set myself to “Run 51sec”. If I surpassed my goal, then its a surprisingly great incentive for me i guess
Also check out this photo of an unknown sprinter. Pretty cool eh. I’ve set myself to be somewhat that big in 2-3 years time! What do you think? Power, muscle & displaying such abominable fighting spirit.
I’ll print it small & put it in my wallet to motivate me on days i feel like quiting or skip training And oh yah about the socks things i mentioned in my shoutbox.
I have bad luck man and I am just giving up on this sock saga which happen every 5-6 laundry days. I figure its like this: You’re looking for your socks and you cant find them.
Now when you’re not looking for your socks there they are right where you least expected. Now you know there are no such things as laundry fairy underneath your washing machine that steal your socks or laundry.
I guess I’ve been looking for that sock just a little too hard … hahhhhh?
