Sprinters are a breed apart. Do I consider myself one, I guess I do since I love the sprints.
But I love distance running too, but that I put on hold as I have the need for speed.
One thing I noticed about all sprinters alike is that they have all the confidence in the world and assurance in one self. I mean alot and alot of confidence, that sometimes people mistook them for being as ass with plenty of ego.
There’s half truth to that lah, maybe it applies to the young punks who are still new to the track scene but the senior one, they’re more level headed. Of course there’s some exception, we all know Maurice Greene is a great sprinter but he’s mean to everyone.
While there’s the Namibian sprint legend Frankie Fredericks, who’s super nice.
No matter whatever their traits is on the social level, they all have one thing is common that all sprinters have. Desire!
That desire translate to formulating goals and training plan so as we can achieve the success that we want.
Some people might call it pointless. You don’t get paid for doing all this … but for us, this is beyond monetary means.
Something of a legacy we can call our own when we finally made it so to say. To enjoy what we are doing while we can.
Sprinters is indeed a breed apart … just my two cents worth
I wanna share a funny stand-up on running, play below media
