What is the point of religion if it discriminates.

I’m talking about transgender, gay, lesbian, bisexual, all form LGBT. They are far from being accepted by society, ridiculed by many, deviant in the eyes of religious rights fanatics, and in certain places deemed equal & even far worse than criminals in terms of the law when dealing with them.

The root of the problem are the homophobes and insecure peoples which brought upon unrealistic and shitty policies that drove these people on the brink of social pariah and forcing them to resort to vices activities to support themselves and their family. What else can they do if no employers find them viable.

I’m a LGBT sympathizer myself, and I regard, view and accepted transsexuals as woman, & gays, bisexual and lesbian relationships as normal as your typical BGR. But one opinion doesn’t change the World, and this is where awareness comes in.

LGBT are still humans. Well they may be your siblings, friend or co-worker. Put yourself in their shoes and try to imagine the troubled issues they face on a daily basis.

As with every individuals out there who are born uniquely perhaps with a big nose, or long limbs or a svelte figure, LGBT are born the way they are, and that’s something you can’t just internally switch off despite the promises of counseling by these ultra religious morons.

It’s time to accept and embrace.

Below is an interesting feature on Muslim transsexual sex workers in Malaysia. While there’s more acceptance here in Singapore, across the Causeway it’s totally different.

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Oh by the way I’m a moderate Muslim who is straight. Just want to highlight that to all the single ladies out there who reads my blog, LOL. Don’t wanna lead you ladies thinking I was crooked (of course nothing wrong with that) after reading this entry. It’s just that I love pussies and don’t want to scare off potential dates. Hahaha.

Oh my, looks like our former PM, Senior Minister and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew is in the news again for all the wrong reasons over his latest publication “Lee Kuan Yew: Hard Truths to Keep Singapore Going.”

It seems that Malaysia’s Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) has declared the book haram.

What is haram, well is an Arabic term for anything that is forbidden in Islam that will result in a sin when committed. It’s the opposite of halal.

And why is the book deemed haram. Well the book it seems urged Muslims in Singapore and I quote to be “less strict on Islamic observances.”

Well I do agree that Jakim has a case, and our modern Singapore founding father could have shown more restrained in his comments to the media.

But why is Malaysia interfering in Singapore’s affair. Unless of course they want the book to be stopped and pulled out of the bookstores in their country. At last check, the book has not been banned yet in Malaysia.

Although Jakim has been declared haram by Jakim, only the Home Ministry has the authority to do so.

And during the book publication late last year to early 2011 Singapore’s PKMS, a Singapore Malay National Organisation demanded an apology from Lee Kuan Yew for “Singapore Muslim community and the Muslim world in general”. They wanted the book to be “banned and condemned.”

Woah this is getting interesting yo! Well the next best thing PKMS got was a statement retraction in March. And that probably saved LKY a legal suit.

Reading PKMS press statement [link] they really mean business, and they ain’t pulling no punches.

And the latest on the this drama, an ex-Sec Gen of PKMS, Mr. Mohd Nazem Suki, a Singapore citizen is considering a private legal suit [link] against Mr Lee is seems.

Getting more soap opera drama-mama now eh.

All I can say this uproar and nit-picking is a waste of time. Why not focus all the hate into one’s own life goals and mission. Considering the resources and influence the Lee family has here, anything that is filed against them won’t amount to anything or it won’t get far.

Lee Kuan Yew has retracted his offending statement anyway, so there’s no point. Although LKY has done wonders to Singapore and contributed much, he should have left his job much earlier than lingering on via a specially created position on two separate occasion (Senior Minister 1990-2004 & Minister Mentor 2004-2011). I still can’t fathom why he was in the cabinet for so long after stepping down from the Prime Minister job. You don’t see that in other city-state nations.

Well that’s just my opinion.

NTUC’s masterplan: create better jobs for all

With better jobs, we’ll get better pay packets right. Yes keep telling yourself that and the public oh our union reps.

Even our PM has stated that “real median incomes grew by three per cent between June 2010 and June 2011, after adjusting for inflation”.

However highlighted by the TOC [1], that above figure actually refers to the real median income growth of full-time employed residents, including Employer’s CPF contribution.

What most people don’t know is that if you exclude Employer’s CPF contribution, our income only grew by 0.1 per cent last year.

And with that, give this a thought. Does our ‘better’ wages is in tandem growing with any of the following:

The population has increased by 20% in 10 years from 4 to 5 million.

Foreigners increased by a whopping 80% as the Singaporean economy grew.

2011 gross domestic product (GDP) growth is estimated at 5.0 percent.

2010 gross domestic product (GDP) growth was at 14.5 percent.

Singapore’s GST was introduced in 1994, at 3%. Increased to 4% in 2003, 5% in 2004 & current rate of 7% in 2007.

Singapore HDB Public Housing HDB has risen 32% in value in just 2.5 years.

A 5-room flat in the 1970′s might cost you S$35,000, but today it might cost you S$650,000. Even after you key in inflation that’s expensive. Should we still call it public housing.

With the rising cost of living, overcrowding and government apathy, you tell me, does our so call better jobs are making up for all of the above factors.

Shouldn’t our salary also be in increment with the economy growth. In fact we’re getting peanuts of the same wages more or less all these year to put up with these foreigner-friendly policies by the gahmen.

So you finally get it? Do Google more, you do the math, and figure it out for yourself if you still don’t.

The bottomline do we really want and need foreigner wealth in sustaining Singapore’s economy. That will be put to the test in GE 2016.

Disclaimer: I’ve nothing against gay by singling them out in this entry. I’m just being me, all curious and zany as always.

That’s the very question that have on occasion popped into my head over the years when the hilarious comedian appears on-screen.

I’ve never really gotten round to find out via reading up, nor Goggling but I finally did an Internet search yesterday.

Aside from Steve Martin, I’m also curious if Martin Short was also gay.

I mean the both of them with the way how they portray themselves in the movies, well they’re kinda rather effeminate right.

You know how Google search result page recommends search keywords in the form field as you typed in it, well the below keywords were recommended drop-down in the form. In fact I wasn’t the first one trying to find out if Steve & Short was crooked.

For Steve Martin

For Martin Short

What did my Google search discovered?

Steve Martin is so not totally gay despite my gay radar saying so. He currently married to Anne Stringfield, a writer and former staffer for The New Yorker magazine. They’re happily attached for three years now.

While Martin Short is also not gay. His spouse sadly died of cancer last year, and he has three children.

So there you go, my curiosity has been piqued.

The slightest inclination that Steve Martin is gay when my search result came up with the below video.

Letterman – Dave and Steve Martin’s gay vacation. Hilarious. I LOL at the Asian waiter’s face reaction.

You know you’re heading to reservist when you’re scrambling to find a non-camera function handphone.

Around this time of the year at the end of the season would I usually be called up.

The thing is my eight-year old backup Sony Ericsson handphone finally died on me, the display was showing me the black blank screen of death.

My efforts of turning off and on rebooting the pre-smartphone device futile.

I did not even hear the usual perky startup jingle when the phone is turned on.

Aside from being the approved camera for my reservist stint by my unit, the Sony Ericsson phone has a lot of sentimental value.

It was my second phone, apart from the ‘barsoap’; the Nokia 3310 my first ever phone.

So I got myself a new phone. A Samsung GT-E1080F. I might say it’s quite cheap at SG$39 dollars. But it seems I was told there’s even cheaper ones at Mustafa.

But being in the line of work I am, I’m always pressed for time. Going down to Mustafa would take time, and in the end it would still cost the same considering the amount spent on the transportation getting there.

It’s pretty amazing what 7-11 has in its store these days. I was just passing by one that across where I stay and stumbled upon it.

I was actually heading out to the shopping mall to buy my non-camera function phone with a budget of not exceeding $70 dollar.

Well I’ve got my phone cheap instead, and I spent the rest of my budget I’ve set aside on two new singlets for gym. Check out my twitter, I might post a photo on it.

My new non-smartphone is amazing. I last charged it 5-days ago and it’s still going strong. It covers my basic function of texting and receiving & making calls.

The Samsung GT-E1080F even has features that my smartphone don’t have! LOL … I love the fake call function. Great if you want to get out of a sticky situations, haha.

The only downside I can think of is the rather small typing buttons. I’m fine with it but for old people it might prove a challenge to them.

Samsung GT-E1080F

Torchlight

Fake call (timed to 5s, 10s, 30s, 1m, or 3m)

Long standby time (used the battery when phone arrived at 4/5 bars, after 1 week of light SMS, remain 1 bar)

List of recent recipients when writing SMS (my 5800 also don’t have)

Phone lock, SIM lock, PIN lock, Privacy lock (lock All, Call logs, Phonebook, Messages, or Memo)

Basic apps like Calculator, Converter, Timer, Stopwatch (again my 5800 also don’t have some… have to install)

Phone memory for 500 contacts and 300 SMS

7 supported languages

2 games and 3 wallpapers which can rotate automatically

Super light

Comfortable rubberized keypad

Cheap!

To all my admirers and followers *ehem* out there, haha, not to worry as I might think the title might mislead you thinking that I’ve a girlfriend but not to fret I’m still single lah.

The thing is I just remembered why I got out of the relationship thingie in the first place. Women issues.

Yes I admit I was less than empathetic when I was still with someone, as I couldn’t be bothered handling the intricacy of being in a relationship.

For singles out there who’s thinking or wanting to jump into one, well now take a look at what to expect in a relationship with the below video.

So did I scare you? I wouldn’t think no as we guys only think rashly with our ‘head’ first and the consequences later.

We dudes have simple needs and one of which is to screw the girl. As crudely as it sounds that’s our main aim. Guys are practical and we always have a goal in mind which is to tackle, date her and to score! After that we fall asleep, LOL.

Our rationale is that sex is just sex, and yes we accept the relationship baggage that comes along with it. Although we enjoy the company with the girl, half the time we ‘endure’ it to get the screwing.

Of course this changes with age as men seek companionship and family. Scientifically because of imbalances of estrogen as we grow old, we become more of a woman!

But for girls, sex is not just about romping about, rather it’s making love as they say, which is of course not the highlight of their relationship, instead it’s a culmination of one’s relationship.

So I question myself today, do I really want to get into all this ‘trouble’ again?

As much as I dread the women issues that I’ll face, yes I’m ready to jump both feet first into it. Here I come ladies!

For all the crap I’ve been bashing about the movie Twilight Breaking Dawn, I’ve decided to watch it for myself yesterday.

And it’s not that bad.

The movie was a bit tad slow, there were long silent moments, but still I’m not taking back at all the stuff I’ve said as the whole series is gross man.

It’s basically a 100-year-old pedophile vampire who is into a 18-year-old kid.

Plus the Breaking Dawn Part 1 is all about Edward taking Bella’s virginity, and the pregnancy that ensues.

Totally gross right, and not to mention that the pregnancy requires Edward biting the baby out of Bella. Like yuck!

And in Part 2, Jacob is expected to hook-up with Bella’s kid. WTF, another pedophile in the making.

Who thinks of this stuff anyway. And I still can’t accept the fact that the vampires in this series has a reflection, and they glow in the sun rather than burning up if based on the old vampire folklore.

Such a moronic plot overall, but that wouldn’t stop me from watching Part 2, haha. I need closure lah, as I’ve already invested and seen Part 1.

Some people are just born to have a short wink and they’ll be fresh and dandy afterwards. You can be well assure that I’m not one of them. I need my daily 8-hours of sleep.

The Europe-wide study saw 4,000 people from seven EU countries fill out a questionnaire assessing their sleep habits. The researchers then scanned the genomes of the volunteers and looked for variations in their genes that correlated with their answers about their sleep patterns.

They discovered that people who had two copies of one common variant of ABCC9 slept for significantly shorter periods than people with two copies of another version.

The finding, described in the journal Molecular Psychiatry, could explain why light sleepers are able to get by on just a few hours of shut-eye a night, says Toronto-based sleep expert Dr. Colin Shapiro.

“This tells us that we are programmed in some way to need a certain amount of sleep, just as some people are programmed to be taller and others are programmed to be shorter,” he told CTV’s Canada AM Tuesday morning.

Via here.

Imagine the amount of time saved that can be used to productive use rather than having your forty winks.

Every single morning, I wake up and the first sentence that I silently utters from my mouth is “What the shite…”

I find myself with such a short fuse these days and I couldn’t be bothered by anything or anyone anymore. What’s the point.

Sod off and piss off. I just want my peace.

Russian Red – Gone, Play On

This never ending song is scratching
Scratching my brain
Like a vinyl in desire
This never ending thought
Is coming and is gone
It’s travelling on a plane on my way

And in a highway too
As if I speak for you
And I say that you did those things
I did in the past it’s true

And in a highway too
In a truck I do
Keep your stuff in my pocket
Just like I did with the days we flew

This never ending song
Is coming and is gone
It’s travelling on a plane on my way

This never ending song
Is coming and is gone
It’s travelling on a plane on my way

Gone, play on
Oh gone, play on
Gone, play on

Gone, play on
Oh gone, play on
Gone, play on
