It is funny how I used to think brisk walking is for pussies, and I myself now am doing such an activity on a daily basis.
Why? It’s because it’s a great form of cardio to lose fat without compromising your muscle mass.
I find out through the hard way that this low impact exercise when compared to higher impact form of cardio, reduces the muscle loss, and thus you can retain much of your aesthetic aspect.
Cool huh. A little secret I’m sharing with you here.
When my friends heard that I, a former sprinter turned walker, they had a good laugh at my expense. But I’m alright with all the jokes.
It’s to be expected lah. Regardless, at the end of the day, I’m a step closer looking to what I’ve in mind, to be a freaking awesome fitness model.
My weight progress for the past six months plus. I've been hovering between 77 to 79 kilograms for some time now and I'm waiting for my breakthrough, hitting the magical 80 kilograms mark finally.
Recently I’ve been going through a rough patch in my workout phase. Through some bad advice given by an ‘expert’, I blindly followed it and lost 3 kilograms of precious muscle.
I should have just trust my instinct and do my own training program, as no one knows better about how your body works and reacts, than yourself.
So it’s back to my old exercise routine, but with tweaks. This time round, it’s 8-weeks of slightly lower reps, but higher on the sets.
Target for the end of this program, is hitting 81 kilograms by 1st June. You can do it Sha!

i walk 3 to 5 km every few days and i intend to do that everyday.
