The Football Association has just handed Liverpool’s Luis Suarez an eight-match ban and a £40,000 fine after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United’s Patrice Evra.
What’s interesting about this case is that the judgment is based on just Patrice Evra claims with no supporting evidence, be it other players on the pitch hearing the racial slur.
One would ask how could the FA could build a case and gave a hefty ban and fine to Suarez with such a one-sided argument.
Well I believe they’re trying to set precedence on all of such similar future cases, clamping down hard on abusive racial remarks.
The sentence for now is suspended until the outcome of Luis Suarez’s appeal. Do you think Suarez is guilty, and perhaps Evra lied during the hearing.
Yeah it’s hard to tell eh. No one knows what kind of conversation goes on in the field between players and opponents. The best bet is for clubs to pull their players aside and advise them to hold their temperament and tongue. Start it from young.
It’s just a game that we all love, but let’s not get too carried away in the heat of the moment by putting other people down. That’s not nice.
I tell you ah, these soccer super stars are some of the whiniest and idiotic people around. You get paid plenty, to be a professional but you act like morons when things doesn’t go your way on the field.
