Hahahaha, I’m not surprise as more young people are becoming Internet addicts. The demographics given in the video below, albeit Americans, it is about right lah if compared to local context.
I would reckon young kids and adult would likely make up the major bulk of these Net junkies, FaceBooking and Tweeting like there’s no tomorrow.
I know as I was an addict too when I upgraded to unlimited Internet usage with Pacific Internet back in the 90′s. I was around 18 or 19 years old then.
Then I realized that I was not in control, but instead it was my addiction to get online that’s dictating my life, and being a control freak that didn’t quite goes down well with me.
So I ‘reformed’, sparing go online as I matured, and in-fact turned the table around. I found out the secret of using the Internet to make a living without lifting a single finger, or when I’m not even using it. Cool eh!
People do curb your Internet usage, there’s a real World out there for us to explore. Find your purpose in life. I found mine, and it wasn’t the Internet.
According to a survey, almost half of young Americans check Facebook or Twitter if they wake up at night, which adds to growing concerns about internet addiction. CBS Katie Couric comments.
