iPad launches this Saturday

Arrghh why am I not loaded with money, and always full of responsibilities … if not I could get my hands on the iPad!

It’s launching this Saturday in the States.

Apple says iPad Wi-Fi and 3G models will be available in Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain and Switzerland in late April and in additional countries later this year.

As of March 12, 2010, customers in the U.S. are able to pre-order the iPad.

The iPad is scheduled to go on sale in the U.S. on April 3 for the Wi-Fi version and at the end of April for the Wi-Fi + 3G version.

Consumers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK will be able to buy both the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G versions of the iPad in late April.

3G service will be provided in the U.S. by AT&T and sold with two prepaid contract-free data plan options: one for unlimited data and the other for 250 MB/month at half the price.

The plans will be activated on the iPad itself and can be canceled at any time.

So that makes the Singapore debut in fourth quarter of the year I reckon, if our local telcos manage to secure the deal with Apple.

Alright by then I would have set aside enough for my iPad! …. Hmmm that sound so wrong eh. Hahaha. I do hope it would meet my needs for a laptop equivalent.
