Why am I not active on FaceBook, Friendster …

Well I was a hardcore user of social sites before, but I’ve come to find life on cyberspace differs in real life. The latter I discover is much more ‘real’ and keeps me grounded. I like to keep my circle of friends small and close.

Maybe I’m jaded after being online for so long all these years, but I’ve quietly withdrawn from online social stuff unless its my blogs of course. The very reason it’s updated often as it makes me money.

Facebook and MySpace are more popular than ever but, as CBS Kelly Wallace reports, many of the younger users of these social networking sites are now learning their drawbacks.

When I think of networking, I’ll only do it out of business sake. I’ll only go online to social sites to keep track of my friends, that’s it. On my part, they’ll have to call or meet me to know what I’ve been up to. I can’t be bothered to put up photos or update my status.

So please do not be angry if I seem to dismiss you online, but I’ll only acknowledge or add you online to my list, if we’ve met before or under certain circumstances.

My advise to all new social networking noobs, think twice before posting anything you’ll regret later on.
