Video Games Addiction

I was looking at the video below and it struck me that the dude that had his PS3 destroyed by his girlfriend could be me literally!

Set aside the notion if the video could be fake, but I reckon for most boys, we have video game addiction.

It becomes a problem when our compulsive gaming interferes with our daily life, but yet we’re not bothered at all about it and kept on playing.

That’s why I put off buying any gaming platform since my Sega ‘retired kaput’ due to excessive usage. I know I won’t get any work or studies done if I were to get a new one.

With that I’ve really left the gaming scene for a long time now, Sega is a relic by now of course, like me!

And now we’ve PS3 that plays Blu-Ray disc too, XBOX lah, and the Wii what not …

I’m tempted to buy a PS3 for my room currently, I can just imagine it now, a big-ass HDTV, my shiny gaming platform, and comfortable sofas from IKEA playing with my buddy for hours on end, munching on our nachos, trying to kill each other in the game … ooh so bliss!

I guess girls will never understand why we boys love our video games. In fact a recent study shows that male brain are more reactant to video game play than those in women.

It’s scientifically wired why we boys are more attracted to, and more likely to become hooked on video games than girls.

So with that, girls do empathise with us boys.

And for the boys … try your best to reform, as too much gaming can be an overkill. Would you rather sleep on the couch than snuggling up with your gal, and not get any, haha.
