Brian’s Threaded Comments Password Problems

I’ve recently started doing password protected entries, I don’t do it often lah such entries. Very da rare. If you know me, I’m very crap & lame, so if I password protect it, that means something is really important, only a selected trusted few can read and give me pointer or just there to listen

Anyway, there was some issues with not being able to view the comment-form appearing on my password protected entries. Well I’m using Brian’s threaded comments plugin and if you’re having the same problem above, I’ve the solution. This is like a small online guide to future users of the above mentioned plugin comment having similar problems as me.

First and foremost, I truly recommend WordPress user to use the comment plugin. It’s a great plugin! View below on how my comments are neatly replied and organized. Download the comment plugin from the link below!

And here’s the online guide to fix the comment errors on password protected posts. Hope it helps in your problem! Do give feedback if it works or didn’t.

1) Open up comments.php under your theme
2) Find “.$cookiehash”
3) Replace ALL “.$cookiehash” with “. COOKIEHASH”
4) Make sure you leave the space between the dot and COOKIEHASH
5) Upload to server & you’re done!

My password protected entries have this problem but I never really gave a damn about it. Thanks, I will try this one soon :)

shah, i realised that u upload this plugin for me correctly when u do my theme the other day. but how come it doesnt work for me for my comments…???
