WordPress version 2.9 was released awhile back, but I didn’t upgrade, instead I’m opted the usual waiting game, and indeed there were some bugs in the new release, such as scheduled post and pings not working.

And now version 2.9.1 is out, my advise, do not upgrade yet, wait for awhile to see the response of such release. I’ll give it another two weeks before upgrading my blog if everything works out.

I am still on version 2.8.6 currently. Also anyone has any ideas to reduce your server CPU usage. I’m using WP-Super Cache, and recently installed DB Cache Reloaded.

The latter is rather erratic for me so far in terms of performance. I can’t tell if it’s doing wonders or just making it worse for my server. Anyone?

From what I’ve read both WP-Super-Cache and DB Cache Reloaded can work in tandem. If a page is newly loaded, DB Cache Reloaded would kick in first, and the next loading of the page will serve caches from WP-Super-Cache.
