Fort Minor in Singapore 2006

Sha March 4, 2006 0

Last Wednesday was Fort Minor concert, and it was kickass man!

And to think, I nearly missed it.

Well what initially supposedly to be a guys outing, it didn’t materialize due to indecision by the guys, and in the end the plan was canceled … but luckily it was Rudy’s bday and he kinda belanja (treat) me to the concert.

So it was a date for both of us, haha (we’re straight btw)

I bet that night, Fort Minor was still reeling tired, from being flown in from KL & Bangkok where they had a concert there plus an opening act for 50Cents 6hour long Bangkok concert (oh man, what I would do to be there!).

But none of the fatigue nor jetlag showed that night. The opener was loud. I was up on my feet from the get-go, till the end of the concert, bogeying my ass. Rudy as appropriately said “Joget macam nak gaduh” (I danced as though I wanted to fight), haha

Rudy was abit reserved that night, the poor guy must be tired as he just completed his last exam paper that very afternoon.

Back to the concert, well Mike Shinoda true to form, did his other band song too, Linkin Parks In the End song. Everybody was in chorus, every time he hits the note “In the end, nothing else matters”

But what made the night quite special and unique, it wasn’t the loud and hip gyrating songs, but it was the more subdued “Where’d You Go” really struck a chord with the crowd who went comfortably silent and just enjoyed the moment. A song about missing someone, about love and questioning our existence here and now.

Fort Minor called upon local Singapore Idol finalist Jessea Thyidor to sing with the band in-fact. It was cool man, real cool

I had a great night then, though the concert was shorter than expected, it was well worth coming down Indoor Stadium. After the concert, both of us drop by Orchard for some snack before heading home … I cant wait for another outing with the bugger

And oh yah, a blogger was spotted … Deana! wif her guy
