New Year is here.
2006 beckons as its the time of the year where failed resolutions to be made again.
The final day of 2005 started out fine for me.
My hamstring strain is subsiding, and I managed to do some long run on the grass finally without much pain.
Also when i stretched the sore area, the pain has considerably lessen. Whoppeeeeeeeee.
After training, I rushed down to meet up with Paul and we headed to town around 5pm for some warming-up eyecandy session, haha.
It was freaking crowded in town but thats how it is usually during festive season right.
Later in the day, we caught a cab around 7.40pm to MOS where our initial plan was to queue early and get easy entry to the club when the doors opened at 9pm.
Oh boy we were wrong! We arrived 7.55pm and the queue has already spiraled and spilled around MOS compound and the next!
Ngiap then joined us in the wait.
We trio were hot and sweating throughout but the thought of hitting the dancefloor when were inside, helped ligthen the mood.
Time trickled by slowly, few tempers flared, and still the queue didn’t budged when its 10pm.
We gave-up queueing by late 10pm and once again our plan, to go to MOS, foiled by the club inefficient management and crowd control.
When we left, there was few skirmishes and confrontation between clubbers and staff. Sighhh …
After the botched MOS partying plan yet again for the second time, we swung into full-gear our Plan B.
We decided to join Brendan at Zouk’s Mambo Jambo party at the Expo, minus Ngiap who went to another party.
We two caught a cab and duly arrived 10 minutes before midnite, thankfully!!
Though I hate Mambo music, it wasn’t that bad at all last night.
I prefer the later part of the party, where the DJ slowly played some R&B, hiphop and rock remix.
I can’t believe I did the twist, staying alive, and all the retro moves yesterday, haha.
I guess when in Rome, do as the Romans do rite … it was fun alright!
We ended the day with a visit to our usual post-party stopover, at Bukit Timah’s Alameen.
To re-fill our empty tank. Dancing your ass-off equates to a lot of calories burned, so we need to replenish our energy back.
I had 1 cheese prata, 1 egg prata, 2 cups of teh-tarik (local drink consist of tea + milk) and we shared a big chicken murtabak (murtabak is a local delicacy that has dough flour spread & stretched, filled with toppings such as chicken, oninons, etc cooked over a big heating pan)
It was an interesting night – and I have no idea what’s in store for the future but yesterday, I’ve made a choice on how I should lead my life.
One made with both heart and mind.
I just hope it all goes well for me in 2006. Well below are my previous year-end entries.
After reading it, it makes me wanna invent a time-machine, go back in-time and slap me silly, hahaha.
Happy new year to all. Have a prosperous 2006 to all!
Edit: May i add, i spotted LTS finally in the flesh! Not a bad dancer. You go my mamasita!
