Well it’s quite a shame there’s a Melayu in the scuffle.
And why am I showing it here then. Won’t it make it seem any worse with a blogger Melayu streaming it online criticizing his fellow Malay … erm Nope

Yes, it’s none of the above lah. There’s in fact plenty of such videos, Malay, Indians, Chinese or any other ethnicity fights caught on film out there.
It just so happen, that one of my friend forwarded me the email with the clip and at the same time I was considering blogging about how to handle tense situation. So why not use it …
How would you actually resolve when you’re in such a situation yourself? I’m sure plenty of us have gotten into such fights, when we’re younger, rarer of course as we aged, being more mature and such situation only happens when the absolute is inevitable. Of course such physical encounter is only justified when you’re defending yourself and not the instigator
I think it takes a lot of balls to walk away rather than to start exchanging blows. When you’re at odds with someone, you naturally get angry. Studies have shown, when you get angry your IQ level drop. You become a moron. So the fella would likely get into a fight rather than have a sane decision to walk away
I’m learning human resource skills now and the lesson really taught me how my actions will reflect on me and others around me. Thus this entry. How would I handle such a situation. This could apply in the board room or the factory floor. I could become the mediator or the one fueling the fire, kinda making it worse. One’s imperative decision can affect how the outcome will be, being mainly in a leadership context.
In such situation, if you happen to walk away and resolved it maturely, then good for you. And if you decide to do ala Bruce Lee moment, let’s hope you don’t come out bad injured la. The next time I get into a tense situation, I promise to walk away. Come on now, chant with me, “Must walk away”
P.S I pity the chinese guy trying to be a mediator and stop the fight. He also got scratched and hit. Don’t be a kaypoh I say
That video highlights two morons engaged in a moronic duel. True what you said, it takes a real man to walk away. But at times, the moron inside always gets the better of you. My advise, only engage when you are very very sure you’ll win. Or else, be a REAL man and walk away!

I think as we mature and grow older, we have more responsibilities, not only to ourselves but to others like our spouses, kids, etc. Getting involved in a fight and landing oneself in jail is not worth it.
But when you’re young and a little hot-headed, the adrenaline rush of a full-blooded fist to the face does feel good.
Now everybody sing, “You’ll never walk alone …. walk on, walk on ….. with hope in your heart ….. and you’ll never walk alone …. !” (You’ll never walk alone after a fight because kiri, kanan got policemen accompanying you).

i work at a place where peeps always thought id see lotsa happy couples .. but not necessarily so .. at times we see scuffles between couples and families too .. which would at times end up being a police case .. sad eh!
but those two girls real lah .. now it reminded me of an incident during sec sch .. gosh .. shant elaborate .. hahaha

i was a rather quiet, reserved girl in school .. (an athlete too just like you) .. but people just get in my way and talked and bad mouthed me. So being a quiet, unpopular girl, I thought I just had to show some of my colours too .. I looked for the girl who had talked bad abt me .. found her in the loo .. gave her a piece of my mind plus a slap or two .. LOL ..

omg!!! i felt disturbed by these 2 girls fight in public, not caring who was watching… i would definitely walk away when someone confront me a matter that was none of my concern…. it’s for low life people to fight especially for girls as young as them…. yes, as you said, it will take a lot of courage to walk away as some may think of you as coward but, it’s better to be safe rather than have my hair-do pulled, my dolled up face punched and my shopping mood spoilt…. i fought before and looking back, it was really a stupid thing to do. each and every problem can be talk and it will be resolved.
