I’m not trying to be high and mighty here, but I can’t wrap the concept around the idea of smoking. I mean what’s the thrill, when the cons outweigh more of the benefits.
In fact there’s no benefit at all from smoking!
You’re wasting your money away, you’re putting your health at risk, you’re annoying the hell out of non-smokers around you, you’re littering practically everywhere with your cigarette butts and ashes, plus in part your smoking affects our environment.
And to think Malay smokers double of those than the rest of the local ethnic groups, and we Melayu form around 14 per cent of the whole Singapore population in fact.
The current overall pool of smokers in Singapore stands at 360,000 via the Health Ministry, and with the current findings of the state of Singapore smokers, either this is one big giant conspiracy to eradicate and making us being submissive, that’s a whole lot of Malay smokers.
For my close peeps who are indeed smokers themselves, it doesn’t mean I love you a whole let lesser if you’re indeed puffing away, but …
… please, snub it out. Don’t be selfish, Malay or otherwise.
With that, smokers who feel I’ve wrong them with this blog entry, can start flaming me via the comment box below, or my contact form from the above link. Bring it on …
Haha, i visit your website here sometimes and i must say this post contain some interesting statistics. And its amazing seeing how us malays form only 14 percent of the population, yet we can still be the highest when it comes to the number of smokers from an ethnic group.
You might be interested to know that the such stats are similar for other ‘negative’ issues such as teen pregnancies, teen abortions, divorces etc. . . . you get my drift: )
ye betul, orang lelaki melayu memang kuat hisap rokok.
Rokok tu tak macho tapi melemahkan ade la.
