Owning a car here in Singapore is NOT a must! Its a necessity for those who can afford it well and for those who have earned a very comfortable high basic income every single month! Unfortunately, most of the Malays here in Singapore DO NOT EARN MUCH compared to other races.

I got a friend here who work in a bank dealing with debts and loans of cars and other issues. And I was informed that most of the car loans requested here are mostly Malays. That is so sad!

The Malays here in Singapore needs to be financially educated. Not just educated in ITE ,Polytechnic or other private institutions! But they need to be financially literate! To be financially educated!

I guess there is a need to balance monthly expenses and how important the car can be for own and family needs before considering buying a car. But it's always good to be amed with a licence. :D

Hyped up column here=) Well I'ld say that having transport on your own is rather good because lets face it, the public transport is getting very expensive. Its ridiculous when 5 busstops will cut off close to a dollar in your ezlink and whats worse is that when the 5th stop lands in a bloody cbd area, the fare escalates to $1.50. IF we have to make multiple trips due to work and school and we compare the tallied amount to monthly payment of an average car, public transport CAN eat up more money than car payment. I spend about half of my salary alone on transport. Sampai fed up I'll just drop off 2 stops and walk home ahah!

But if you go JB and you can see alot of those aunties in the other cars and looking at your car with an expression like there's crap beneath their nose then..tu confirm mak cik tengok status punye..
