Singapore Malay Muslims

I chuckled in laughter as I read reports of concerned Singapore citizens about the recent ISA detention of 20-year-old self -radicalised Muhammad Fadil Abdul Hamid.

Alongside his detention, there were two others, who were under Restriction Orders.

The concern was of course if there’s enough safeguards in Singapore Malay Muslims community to prevent such a radical cross-over.

Well I do believe there’s nothing to worry about, as the young NSF who went the ‘deep-end’ doesn’t represent the Singapore Malay Muslims as a whole, or the religious local Islamic teachings.

The Singapore Malay Muslims is already a minority, and we in whole are moderate Muslims. Personally I’ve never been taught radical ideas during my own madrasah (religious school) experience.

The detainees a very selected few individuals who has set upon themselves these ridiculous ideas of jihad and martyrdom.

These radicalized individuals must selectively knew and found such deviant Muslim teachings, be it from the Internet or secret meetings, and there’s no way such radical ideas are within the teaching ranks of local the Singapore Malay Muslims.

The individual has their own personal agendas, and there’s nothing anyone could really prevent them forming their radicalized thoughts, and no one is to blame, but themselves.

Trust me, young Singapore Malay Muslims like me are more concerned about their career, money, chicks and soccer. Who cares about these extremist ideologies. It won’t feed me, or pay my rent.

I implore the local ‘concerned’ Singapore citizens to focus on the more important issues instead such as the increasing crimes that comes with our foreign workers policy and our newly minted casino scene, to our exorbitantly highy-paid MPs.

Kapish … let’s move on now.
