Smelly Stupid Malays?

There was a recent media coverage of a slew of racist posting directed at Melayus, citing we’re smelly, stupid and fags. Well I wasn’t surprised of such reports, as it’s nothing new. Blogging has become a new avenue for blogger posting such ‘shallow’ topic. Users deem its safe to hide behind their computer. Well think again, as such bloggers have been persecuted

What irks me more however is some bloggers who considers such hurtful postings part of ‘free speech’ shit, the rightful right of a person to express his/her thoughts on the blogosphere. Like hello … such constitution doesn’t apply to us. You write at your own risk when writing a ‘malicious’ entry regarding Singapore context

Don’t you know Singaporeans have perfected the art of ‘ratting’ people out. We have Stomp, Tomorrow.sg, ping.sg and other form of news/blog aggregator where netizen reporting is becoming more and more popular. Gone are the privacy days, there’s no turning back now

I’m certain this won’t be the last we’ll hear of racist posting. If not about the Malays and color of the skin, it may be about your sexual orientation, upbringing or looks. I don’t pretend to know what’s going on behind these ‘demented’ minds of such bloggers, but one word for them “morons”

So what if they stink
Are they causing you harm, just move away

Are their camwhore photos too ugly too view
Just close your browser

So am I a fucking smelly Malay?
Why don’t you try come over here and smell my armpits, it smells much better than your racist stench

So am I a fucking stupid Malay?
Why don’t you try come over here and I’ll whack you with my thick wad of Fluid Mechanics note

The thing is you’ll always have a choice, and most of the time, some of these bloggers choose a path of ignorance. They perceive for example skin color as their problem, but the root of the issue is that they are afraid of what is different from them

Of course most bloggers are not as above, we’re conformist and will follow the law. But still without the law in place, we shouldn’t really be feeling ill that way towards a particular person or group. If you do feel likewise, you need help buddy. I think you should attend more of NDP Parade, I think you’ve missed it too many times

Usually I don’t dwell of such sensitive issue here at my blog, as most of the time I tend to blog about fitness and happy lala entries but feddup lah bila saya baca entry racist sekira-nyer (sorry lazy to translate), so here’s my opinion on it

Not happy, go fly kite …

Why can’t all of us accept others for who and what race they are?

Don’t let the thoughts of some ignorant fools get to you.

I have no idea what is “ratting”. But about Stomp, I was appalled at the flaming and quite a few racist threads.

Well, if it is really “free speech shit”, everyone would have wrote about one another and this world would evolve around skin colour. Tskk.

May I know the blogs which have racist content? In particular, the one you are referring to in your post.

Search under google blogs, its there bro

By now, probably the blogs would have been taken down or entries edited

      Try the cache

‘rat’ means to squeal on the person, report to authorities

probably these people never studied history!! We just dont wish for a battle between races to happen again. Or probably there’s a lingering anger stuck when their old folks pass down the stories. i dont know maybe..

    in the pledge..

“Pledge ourselves as One United People, Regardless of Race, Language or Religion”

Probably most of us never understood this when we recited the pledge back in the school days. Probably now we understand why.

Anyway we are in a different era now…Let’s make peace with what ever differences we have now…

Racial riots heydays, we all studies that, scary

I think for some, the pledge is just baseless words

My thinking is that, you can’t really change people, the best viable option is stay away from such reckless people

Looking at the comments here, I would like your Malaysian opinion on dealing with Malaysian workers. Take the Malaysian Mr. John Doe for example.

He only does “clean” straight forward jobs, not his job. If there is a potentially messy task, he TELLS me to do it. Not wanting to be branded the racist for telling him off, I just carry it out. Also because he is extremely sensitive.

He sees himself as some sort of supervisor and try to boss over foreign workers who are actually doing the same job as him and his job.

His likes to rephrase work instructions to workers without discussing with anyone and most of the time screwing up everything. When this happens, or whenever he makes a blunder, he puts up a concerned face, make some general suggestions and walks away, leaving others to pick up the pieces. Sometimes he blames others for his blunders or picking on workers who are quiet, lonely, average looking etc. God knows what he says about me.

You may ask why I have posted this here, its becuz this is the best place for it, without going into further details. My fellow netizens, I await your Malaysian solution.

Cant really blame other races as the Malays are far behind academically, socially and economically. Many petty crimes committed are majority Malays. Hmm.. So lets not santau each other out of envy and help one another achieve excellence in every aspect. Cheers 1 Malaysia Boleh..!!??

What racist people, how are Malays ‘Stupid and Smelly’? They are just like any other human being, like in other countries. The genius Einstein quotes “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” and If you just have a very good look at that quote, you can see that ‘human stupidity’ has a probability of ‘living’ over the universe.

    Racial riots, how offensive.

And why am I defending a race other than mine? Racism counts for all races.
