One thing I learned in life by hard is having closure when the situation arises and not put it off just because you feel uncomfortable.
There’s just too many times in life when you don’t get the chance, and once you missed that window of opportunity, you’re left with a cut that never heals properly, and a scar that will never go away.
And that scar will always be a constant reminder of your shortcomings, and the things you didn’t do when you should have while you had the chance.
I have my scar still, and when ‘stuff’ happens, I’m always reminded of the things I didn’t do and that sucks big time man.
So a little advice if you allow, as Nike says it’s best, being a jock that I am, JUST DO IT!
hmmm… u sounds rather emo this month based on your blog entries… some past feelings being evoked by circumstances eh??? :P
well… i do agree with you tt sometimes we HAVE to do “it” instead of ignoring it or running away from it due to having this uncomfortable feeling to confront it… But sometimes it just never make us realise at that point of time tt we had to confront it until after the “event or “thing” has gone off… for instance when i had become the butt of jokes during sec sch… even when i know by instinct tt i should be more confident and learn to confront it, bt my fear and shy just makes me to keep quiet rather than confronting my bullies at tt point of time… and nw when sometimes past memories are being brought me, it does make me feel a tinge of regret tt i should have done something abt it… bt at the same time, i have to realise tt nw, i m much more confident compared to the past due to circumstances and events tt had happened along the years and mould me the way i am now… i hope i am makin sense here.. :P hehe..
anyway, hey whatever is bothering you or making you regret based on past circumstances… it has long happened and is long gone, no point thinking and regreting about what you could and would have done… move forward and just think of not making the same mistakes again…
“the past caused you regrets and pain, the present is to help you learn from your mistakes and the past is to avoid from making the same mistake again….” :P so hey… move forward and smile k.. :)
