Baybeats 2006 held last week was a music festival showcasing local, indie & alternative music. Theres plenty of good bands and crappy bands likewise there. Still its an enjoyable festival on whole.
Baybeats has 2 area; Main Arena and Chillout Arena.
My advice for upcoming 2007 edition, bring a ladder coz you can’t see the performance much unless you’re tall as people tend to block your view, wear something light as its a mini-sauna when you’re surrounded by young punks and crowds, book your seats early as theres plenty of crowd there.
Lastly bring tissue for the guys as you’ll be experiencing nosebleed from all that ogling of pretty cute chicks!
For Electrico performance, i only managed to see heads (lots of people waxing their hair superhigh infront of me, bloody hell), Lunarin sound as though they’re down with PMS, Ken Stringfellows lyrics sounds funny, Love Me Butch was awesome, Beezewax are crazy. I enjoyed Astreal performance most
A video footage of Poptart held 11.45pm on Day 1. Its a hate and love thingie for me with Poptarts. Some of the brit songs, im able to dance, but some song, ill just stand there mouth gaping waiting for the next song, wondering if its dancable
