I’m Becoming More Cheena

Sha May 4, 2007 23

These days it seems I’m becoming more and more cheena.

Let me share with you something ok …

Well usually the first thing in the morning, I would go for a short jog, shower, breakfast, and then it’s school.

But ever since the exams has started, I think this cranium of mine has expanded & bloated from all that revision, where I’ll skip the jog, I’ll take a pass on the shower (eee bacin eh!) but I would still however brush my teeth and wash my face lah.

I’ll only dig-in for a brunch if I’m not stressed out.

But the sad thing is, even as I’m indirectly becoming a cheena, I won’t become as fair skinned like them la, haha!

To think of it, I’m not that tanned as you’ve seen from my pic infact. Just look at my tan lines & you can tell my actual skin color …

Well there you! Exams has detrimental effects on people and if I were nominated to the Cabinet in the not so distant future, I’ll try and abolish such exams! No more mugging! We shall rely on good old fashion yee-haw common sense to make do in this world, Hahahaha … Really! :-p

Well anyway those ‘bacin’ days mentioned earlier are over I guess as today marked the last day of my paper, which was in the morning. What’s next? Alot of sleep!

Anyway recently I’ve been reading a certain ‘interesting’ blogs. The kind of blogs that shove religion in your face. I’m not pious, I admit I do skip my prayers.

The first time I was at hall I’m not sure where’s the Kaaba direction. Since there was no Malay in my block, I had to ask my friends where the solat direction. So ‘mafan’. (For the non-muslim, we muslim pray in the direction towards the Kaaba in Mecca, Arab)

Well anyway, as usual I’m deviating … I just hate such blogs. I mean if you’re that pious, keep it to yourself. No need to ‘teach’ other people what’s good, wrong or prohibit them what to do. May you get kidnapped by Osama!

I had a choice of choosing a Muslim roomie or a non-Muslim. I chose the non-Muslim, and im glad i made tt choice cos she comes back to sleep when i’m out to study. And i come back to sleep when she is out to school. We hardly meet up , talk or even sleep in the same room at the same time. Argh, im digressing.

Point is i think when someone try to hard to ”promote” a religion , it backfires.

Religion can be a social contagion, if one wants more people to embrace whatever faith(s) they hold true to, aggressive advertising should go out by the back door.

Sometimes tinggal sekomplot dengan bansa sama, sometimes don’t turn out well.

I think the keyword here you’re referring is ‘hard’ to promote. you shouldn’t really promote it in the first place. If a person is willing, they will accept the faith

Dei, you in, history major? social science major or mass comm faculty eh? You engrish powderful la!

        wei.

        I never take history.
        Yup Social Sciences.

Ooh kalau powder-ful kan, leh ditiup angin tau. (Poof* gone)

But every religion is always out to promote. There is no religion that does not promote itself in one way or another.

Yeah true, sekmoplot. Tell me about that. Boleh jadi perang. Gara-gara power struggle.

        !

Anyway heera is not an indian name :P It’s urdu
