For the longest time, I’ve been wearing briefs. It runs in the family lah, my dad wears it, so did grandpops, god rest his soul (I think he did, you can’t tell from his sarong).
It’s not until I got into a few relationships, only then the ladies told me about their fixation about boxers and introduced me to it. Right now in my closet, the briefs outnumbered the boxers.
It’s not that I don’t love wearing boxers, I do still wears boxers, but mostly during night time at home.
The thing about boxers, I don’t really feel comfortable when wearing it for functions or going out, as you all know, we sweat ‘down under’ … so if you bought a crappy boxers, the cheapo boxers will stick to your ass, get into your skin kind of feeling.
I love and recommend cotton or silk boxers, it brings a whole new unique ‘shiok’ feeling compared to briefs but I won’t wear it for my exercise training routine as I need something to support and hold my ‘assets’.

Also I came across an interesting statistics about men’s choices of underwear.
• many men prefer briefs over boxers.
• They wont spend more then $35 for a pair of underwear
• Sex played a role in purchasing first pair of fashionable underwear
• They say marketing and packaging doesn’t play a big role in what underwear they choose, however the industry data all says marketing & packaging plays a huge role and influences what girlfriends / boyfriends say they like on a man.
• The leading brands: Old Navy, 2Xist & Calvin Klein
As for me, I’m very particular about my underwear. If the undies gets worn out, I’ll get a new one. Guys you don’t want to get caught about to make-out and your partner sees you in worn-out looking undies with stains and dirty spots, eeyyywwww. Spoils the foreplay yar.
Don’t even get me started on guys who wears colorful and cartoonish undies/boxers, haha … Girls if you do see your men wearing those, don’t laugh at them ok.
Laughing when you see someone’s underwear is a sure fire way to ruin the mood just FYI.
Well for me, boxers have not yet ‘won’ over me … for now I’ll stick to my briefs
