Maybe its because I was a 70′s baby and exposed to the corny 80′s and brought up on the cheesy 90′s one-liners.
It could even be my background in sport where trash talk is the norm.
Yes this uncle is a walking cliche indeed. I’m can be heard spouting “Cowabungga” (Ninja Tutles) to “Wax on … Wax off” (Karate Kid).
Knowing that myself, most of the time I can’t take myself seriously. I really don’t.
If I can’t take myself serious then, how about other people taking me seriously. Hahaha.
You see my problem eh. I may look the part and all serious on the outside, but the only time I conform to rules was during National Service. You don’t want to get bad records during this sensitive period. But luckily I was posted to a flexible and fun unit to begin with.
So in conclusion, I don’t think I act my age, I really don’t. Is that good or bad eh.
hahaha…i get tt comments a lot from my younger frens in poly since i had entered poly at a rather matured age… :P i was 24 when i had entered poly and well, i am rather thankful tt i am blessed with a face tt looks younger and well of course i try to keep a low profile… Bt as they get closer to me and gets to know my age, their 1st reaction was like… haha.. i didnt know you are 24 cos u don’t look your age and my closest poly frens would sometimes told me… act my age please… haha… its nt like i try to act or dressed up too young or wat… bt well… maybe its the way i joked and talked with them… bt somehow i know my limits and when the need come for them to seek my advice, of course i will change into my mature mode… what i feel is, its ok not to age our age… because well.. after all, age is just a number, its just how you feels inside and what you are comfortable in and as long as you do not go overboard, i dun think its bad… even at coming to 27 this yr, my poly frens will sometimes tell me or just jokingly tell me, wati, pls age your age k… hahaha… and well… i can say i may be 27, bt i dun feel like i am 27… :P and so my conclusion is… its ok not to age your age, just as long as you do not go overboard and nak step muda aje, being denial of your age… then tt is bad.. :P… i hope tt helps.. :P
