I was out in Sentosa last week with a friend.
We were tired, hot and sweaty after walking around and decided to order some drinks.
Well we settled with Coffee Bean.
This is not the first time I ordered beverage from such outlets but I was in my buffoon state of mind then I guess.
After queuing, when it’s our turn, we ordered our choice of drinks
I ordered the ice blended Caramel, which is my favorite.
while she ordered ice blended Chocolate Milk Vanilla.
The girl at the counter took our orders …
I then continued having a conversation with my friend while waiting for our drinks
Then the girl at the counter asked me, “What’s your name”
Well any normal sane person would provide your name as you need it to verify your order when you pickup your drinks.
But for me I wasn’t thinking and instead replied with a quizzical look, “Why do you need my name?”
It just didn’t crossed my mind lah, that it was for our drink order. At that point of time, I thought who is this girl who wants to know my name! Hahahaha
So h-a-r-h-a-r … laugh all you want at my clown reaction.
I think the girl at the counter might be thinking, “Perasan seh mat ni, who wants to get to know this uncle”.
The thing is, these days I’m very wary of people getting to know me. It’s just that, so many crazy stalkers out there man.
To think of it, it’s quite funny how it turned out. We had quite a laugh after that :-)
