Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

This book is irritating the hell out of me. It’s more like my friends who are so so into Harry Potter, that they can’t stop talking about it and its impending release, just days away now. It will be released this 21st July tomorrow and we’ll finally know if Hairy Harry will die or …

I say just die please

Ooops I might have just offended Harry Potter fans all over yar? Muahaha. OK look at it this way. I think it’s about time Harry Potter bow out of the largely followed cult Potter mania series in a bang! He saves the world yet a tragic end which will leave a lasting legacy.

I do hope J.K.Rowlings won’t sugarcoat it. He beats Voldemort’s, walks into the sunset and live happily ever after.

Well you Harry Potter fans are in for a treat. Some 660 pages in this last final book of the Harry Potter series. Buy it lar I say.

I’m not really a Harry Potter. I did read the first book, “Philosopher’s Stone” and quit after a few pages. It’s a good book for dumbbell alternative though, damn thick and heavy man! But I did saw all the movies, not Order of the Phoenix yet however.

Any Harry Potter fans here. You all have ordered the book already? Via Vpost is it …

Since we Singaporeans are such good copycats, maybe we can have our own Malay version of Harry Potter. With our own ilmu, sihir, bomoh and such. How about calling the first book “Mohd Potter : Batu Hikmat”

Edit: I added spoilers to the ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ via Matthew. Muahaha, I’m so evil! So if you don’t want to know the end, don’t continue reading!

I’ve no idea if the spoilers are true or not, but these from some Harry Potter mailing list discussion

Spoiler possibility

Voldemort killed Hermione. Yes, that’s true. And we knew that 2 days ago.

At the end of the story Hagrid was killed by Snape in the attempt of ambush Hermione and Ron.

Ron and Hermione flees in privet drive but Voldermort, surprising them, engaged a magical duel with Ron and Hermione.

Voldemort attacked trough the imperius curse and Hermione, to protect the life of Ron fight hardly for more than 6 pages and then finally die.

Then, to make a long story short, Harry came up, killed all the bad guys and Hogwarts against became a good place to stay and have fun.

Ah, i missed one important information about Draco Malfoy, he started to create Horcrux

The end.

the books are good laaah! the movies suck horribly though. the books transport you to a different realm altogether and j.k. rowling is a genius :)

read the movie and DO NOT watch the movie.

read the book you mean? Yeah i will :-)

the movie is a shortcut to understand the story, imo

hahahha.. I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!!!! the book has more details than the movies i think… the movies somehow lack the certain angle that the book has to explore… so yes, the BOOKS are like SO MUCH freaking better….

ok, i like harry potter alright. i grew up with harry! he was my joy when i so hate studyin n every time my mum will buy a new release juz to encourage us to read n also, it’s always part of a present of some sort.

harry potter is the only serial book tat i follow, not bcoz of all the constant advertisements n publicity, but bcoz i’m really interested to know how he is doin in Hogwart yr by yr. n i really dun want him to die. he fought so hard to stay alive n i dun think it’s fair for u-know-who to want to kill him. he’s juz a kid. an orphan!

i may sound like crazy but after so many yrs, how can i say i dun hv any feelins for him n his crew. if he dies, i think i’ll cry. it’s like.. knowin tat santa claus is fake. it’s like.. tellin me tat i might be bang by car if i go out. life is not a fairy tale but i need at least my hero harry to live on. it’s a better place with harry.

look at the kids, some adults too.. harry bought a smile to their face. (minus Uncle Sha & gang of coz..)

JK Rowling readers are loyal readers … the 1st book she targets the young ones and they grew in time up to the 7th book. 7th book is more dark and targets a more adult audience

wow thats a gd incentive. potter books for studying

so do you know the ending now? keke

soon we’ll see kids starting to queue OVERNIGHT at bookstores, just to be the freaking first to get hold of the book. but this time round, ST reported several chains giving free breakfasts to early birds. quite good la, as compared to previous years, where buyers only get a pathetic 10% discount.

but still i don’t see the point of being the first to get hold of the book.

    anyone heard of Barry Trotter?

    • Uncle Sha July 25, 2007 at 1:03 pm - Reply

      yeah true, you can pre-order

      who’s barry trotter?

Hairy-Potter??? He got killed by the Dukun, no?

btw, see the movie faster than spending my precious time reading all 600-over pgs of the book that I know I’ll never complete in 10 yrs :D

ps: got here by way of faddy
