If there’s one word/acronym in my vocabulary that describes me, well aside from “OCD, neat freak, meticulous, UILF” … well it would be efficient.
I’ve always been an efficient person. I would always find ways to cut down the time to complete a ‘process’. And with such efficiency I can devote more time to other areas in my life.
I felt that life is too short … and too much focus and time on one ‘process’ itself riddled with inefficiency just ain’t right man. That’s outright wrong blasphemy.

Gasing
For example, when I was a kid we played gasing. It’s a traditional game popular among Malays.
The kid with the gasing that can knockout and outlast other gasing wins. My gasing it seems has a tendency to run out of steam after a while, and I’ll always be at a losing end, fizzling out to the older boys gasing.
But luckily my granddad in kampong (village) is a gasing champion, still is. He’s like the P.Diddy of gasing man, his trophies are huge-ass MOFO, taller than me infact (I was 1.3m back then eh?).
So everytime I went back to my kampong in Malaysia, I would observed my pops when he practices gasing. Well he ain’t the talking lovable type, so I just followed him around quietly.
The difference from my gasing and his is the size of course, mine is just the size of a small tennis ball, but the application of the process is still the same. So I dabbled in experimentation which I noted from my pops.
When I got back to Singapore, I tried increasing the length of my string, to the varying in-outs knot tying of the gasing, and even my throwing stance. Well it all adds up.
After that efficiency implementation of mine, aside from my current champion nickname of “Din Coli” I was also deemed “Din Gasing” finally. Indeed a champion I became! … oh I shall tell that Din Coli (Din is my name, and Coli means bra) story another time aite.

Circa 1980's
Do I sound weird when describing myself earlier? If you do, well I don’t blame yar. I’ve been weird since 1978 to begin with, haha. In fact as I grew older, I found out that my methodology is like Six Sigma, a business management strategy.
Via wiki, “Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and variation in manufacturing and business processes. It uses a set of quality management methods, including statistical methods.”
If I knew I would have invented my own Six Sigma, I would have officially put in it whitepaper and publish it … Sha Sigma perhaps, haha. Yeah I know lame, but I had to try it, a joke opening there :p
As of today, I’m still implementing my so called Sha Sigma. From sports to dating. I wanna tell more examples lah, but I think I shall bore you, too many words, too little photos kan. Toodles for today!
What the….???? hahahaa… trying to be a motivational speaker eh??? :P haha..
oh the six sigma…. my company AH… introduce tt six sigma, and all the Toyota production system during my induction programme!!!!*yawn*… n well… in summary, after the talk, i only hear these two things… improve quality and cut down wastes!!!! haha…
