All of us have that competitive streak in all of us. For me I was never good academically but my talent was more hands-on like the Arts and an accidental athlete.
For the Arts itself, I love drawings. I’m no Picasso but my creations seems to be ‘better’ than the rest in the class. That I guess is my only real proud memories of a somewhat mediocre schooling days of mine.
Of course I drew because I like it, but it does can get competitive when someone is ‘stepping onto your turf’.
Hell No Assay
In the same class when I was in secondary school, there was also another kid who had the same talent as me. Each week after we were given our assignment, while the rest of the class murmurs their complaints, I was excited to get started and kickass some drawing shite man …
It was an unspoken ‘fued’ between the two of us.
At times he would get the better of me by scoring a few points higher, and at times when I do ‘win’ I would relish in that moment, looked at my returned drawings and out of nowhere a Doraemon tune would linger “AN AN AN tottemo daisuki DORAEMON”
It’s a pity the drawings ain’t here anymore for show and tell at this blog. I did put it aside to be saved, but god knows where my parents placed it.
With the advent of computers, I’ve moved to digital art like PhotoShop, but I do some bits of drawing here and there, mainly cartoons. I’ll put it up here one day when I have compiled it.

“AN AN AN tottemo daisuki DORAEMON” – that is so funny!
You watch doraemon too eh :)
