Old Retro Songs

I love listening to old songs from my yesteryears

It sure does bring back good old memories

Wild Cherry – Play That Funky Music

This song was actually inspired by an audience who said “play that funky music” during a show, and the band got the song going after that. But it was their only hit, still it’s a classic

Layla Kayliff – Shakespeare in Love

Remember the movie “Shakespeare in Love” by Gyneth Paltrow and Ralph Fienes, well this is the song equivalent to it. Hearing the song, reminds the foolish in me. We were all once foolish in love when we’re young. The things we do

Eric Clapton – Wonderful Tonight

Another late 70′s song that stood through time. I was watching a re-run of Friends and the during season six when Monica proposed to Chandler, they used this song. Clapton wrote this for his then girlfriend (and future wife) Patti. A beautiful song, and popularly used at proms and weddings

Well what are some of your favourite classic songs?

Oooooh, I love old time classics. bryan adam’s one of them with songs like I’ll be right here waiting for you; Everything i do, i do it for you & Have you ever really loved a woman. Those songs are just so, so superb & meaningful at least, comparing to some of the modern songs nowadays. And yea, I lurrrrrrve Hotel California by The Eagles. They rock. Btw, have you heard? It seems that you can hear some satanic verses or something as such when you play the song backwards.

bryan is rawking emo! love the songs but i prefer his upbeat songs ‘cloud no 9′ but his sappy songs, eg all for love, wow classic
