Barisan Apa? Barisan Kita

I predicted a change from my last Malaysian Election entry, and indeed there was one

As you all know by now, the Opposition won ‘big’ by denying the Barisan Nasional (BN) the 2/3 majority

Nah I won’t bore you with the election analysis

It will be a trying and ‘exciting’ times for the people across the Causeway now

Just hope it’s not just empty promises, and the reforms will be duly delivered

u know. my mum is so sedih about the results. whoever she voted for did not win. :( she didn’t like the fact that anwar’s daughter won a seat considering she is a newbie with no experience in running a state. but i think malaysians just want to shake the BN lah. they’re getting arrogant. actually the administration has been having problems since mahathir took office. but pak lah is so soft. so people took advantage of the situation. and this is what happened. and now people are blaming pak lah and mahathir wants him to step down. maybe its time for pak lah to retire lah. he’s so old already. health should be his priority.

Well I believe someone’s age is not a factor in carrying out their jobs with excellence. As for Nurul Izzar I’m sure she’s guided by someone senior within the ranks

Yeah one thing is for sure, BN is indeed getting complacent

In Japan, the party leader will usually resign if their party loses. But I guess we don’t have that ‘save face’ mentality among Malays hur :)

I’m excited at the prospect of Pak Lah son-in-law become MP and his future & also Anwar Ibrahim return.

They’re the two people to watch out for., someone who could ‘stablise’ or ‘rawk’ the boat if you get what I mean

Yes, unfortunately, the people is facing the consequences. Its back to the people, folks.

I must say, I am quite happy for what I’m enjoying before the election. Been travelled a lot, and Malaysia is still the best. I love Malaysia and proud to be a Malaysian. Before the election, I have nothing to complain about. Eventhough, I am not rich, I lead a happy life. I don’t think I wanna change anything. Now after the election, there’s a lot of uncertainties.

Commodities down, hopefull will recover. Analyst commented, due to the stability of Sabah n Sarawak, investors might enter those states. Again, we are at the losing end. Whom we vote does affect us in the end. We have to be smart.

Well they have five years to get their act right and wanting to get retain seats again, the parties has to prove they do mean what they’ve promised in the rallies

I do not think that BN is the proble. I think the individuals are. Why kaitkan BN as a total group? That is what I do not understand about people nowdays. If you do not like them, than vote them out during the election. I must say, I saw some BNs did their job well, a good job. Just because a few tom, dick and harry, we judge all the same.

To me any party is the same. Everyone wants a piece of cake. Be it small or big. Be it transparent or not. Some parties have their own personal agenda.

I read an article from Singapore that “they (singaporeans) do not understand the political chaos in Malaysia as the Malaysian are so profoundly proud of their subsidized petrol”

Again, relates back to the people. Four years are such a long time. By then, who knows what will happen. I want peace.

Political scene Singapore compared to Malaysia is very much different in terms of support, the eligibility of candidates and such.

We play it safe despite being ‘surpressed’ in terms of our rights, but hey that’s another way to get stability around here, but that doesn’t mean everyone in Singapore agrees on it.

That’s why I find Malaysian politics so intriguing … possibility of change and your views, the people’s views matters.
