I’ve a few of active social networking account, Twitter and FaceBook comes to mind of the two that I kinda used on a somewhat regular basis.
And I can’t really understand the rationale for such users to add as many friends on their contact list.
Do these people even know half of the users on their list?
Maybe they’re just insecure, and the thought of being known by plenty gives them a peace of mind perhaps. Who know …
Some would even query why I wouldn’t add them since they’re following my Twitter, or why I won’t accept them on my FaceBook list.
I would of course ignore these queries and I’ve marked such email notifications in my Gmail filtered straight to the ‘delete inbox’.
For me personally I like my circle of friends to be small. I prefer the closeness of such rapport you get, rather than being a social butterfly.
Maybe I’m being a prick, but as I’ve blogged previously, I march to the drum of my own beat, and the only opinion is mine and no one else, but I’ll only add you if I’ve met, and do know you, or you’re worth the add.
Knowing me is a privilege, indeed that sounds elitist, haha, but no lah. I’m just being logical.
