I’ve a friend who is blessed with a job that requires her to travel plenty all over the World. I would of course be over the moon if I were to have such a job.
The thing is, she’s not game to try new things, venture into untrodden territory and such. Rather she’s opt for the safe route, and sticks to what she knows only.
Why settle and trying to find Singapore food when you’re in another country. “Keep an open mind” I would always tell her, from the food, places, to the men and women.
For example below, eating a LIVE squid might deems gross and inhumane to some, but in Korea and Japan it’s normal.
It’s somewhat similar to us Singaporeans consuming Durians, a delicacy to us, but distasteful to the ang-moh. So keep an open mind, you never know, you might just like it eh.

Another one, Singaporeans!
I can tell this is a Singaporean entourage, with the lah, eee comments … deciding to eat or not the octopus, haha
